A 29 by 60 metre ice sheet with a hockey school, a cafe and a hostel under one roof
IceMETR opened on 1 December 2018 as the first covered, year-round ice arena in Ulan-Ude. The ice sheet measures 29 by 60 metres and has stands for spectators, and the building also holds a hockey training gym with a shooting zone, a choreography hall, a cafe, a conference room, a sports shop and a hostel for athletes.
The hockey club IceBars was founded at the arena in September 2021, and more than 70 players now train on its ice. The arena is open every day from 8:00 to 22:00.
Public skating runs in sessions that the arena posts as a timetable image on its rink page. It hires out skates in sizes 26 to 46 and sharpens them, and children under 7 skate only with their parents.
Admission, rentals and arrival details, researched from official rink information. Source checks stay current for 30 days.
