Built in 2000 for short track, figure skating, hockey and curling, with a public rink on set hours
No public skating is posted for the next 7 days. New sessions show here as soon as the rink posts them.
The ice hall in Ventspils was built in 2000, and every day it serves short track, figure skating, hockey and curling as well as the public rink. In 2013 the ice sheet was widened from 29 to 30 metres, so that it meets the international requirements for short-track competitions.
The ice covers 1,500 square metres, with stands for 942 spectators and changing rooms that 240 people can use at once. Young figure skaters and hockey players train here, not only from other Latvian towns but from Lithuania, Sweden and other countries.
On set hours the public rink is open to everyone, and the hall offers public skating with hockey sticks or disco lights as well. Its rental point has equipment for figure skating, hockey and curling, and the hall can also be booked for competitions, training or concerts.
