A 1899 ice club in Vriezenveen with a floodlit track since 1939 and a skating-and-inline combi rink

Ijsclub Eendracht was founded in 1899 for the Oosteinde and De Pollen. On 28 November 1938 the Count of Almelo sold two plots, and in 1939 the rink was given lighting. Land consolidation in 1960 improved things for the club as well as the farmers.

In 1986 the canteen was rebuilt and enlarged and the caretaker's house renovated. In 1987 the club made a big decision to lay a 400 metre inline-skating track, and in 1989 completely new lighting was installed, with the lamps 12 metres high.

In 2002 the top layer of the track was renewed with a faster modern one, and by 1995 the club's multifunctional use had become a byword in the skating and inline-skating world of the Netherlands.
