The winter stadium in Vyškov has lived two lives. Construction of the original hall began in October 1973, and a year later trial operation started in part of it. The hall held 3,000 spectators and measured 82 by 52 metres.
In summer 2015 the town council decided to build a new stadium on the old one's site. Demolition began on 1 January 2017, with 366 days set for construction, and the new building was finished in December 2017. The plan gave it an arched roof and a changed entrance for spectators.
The reopened stadium has an ice surface that meets international standards and was designed to save the environment and water through ammonia-free cooling. It is meant for hockey, public skating, school hockey tournaments and figure-skating clubs, and the local clubs MBK Vyškov and TJ Sokol Březina play their home matches there.
