Built in 2013 as the home of the Lausitzer Füchse and run by the city of Weißwasser
The Eisarena was built in 2013 as the home ground of the professional club Lausitzer Füchse, its youth teams and the hobby clubs. The city of Weißwasser/O.L. runs the hall, and it has said it intends to award the arena's naming rights.
Besides the Füchse, the Lausitzer Jungfüchse and other clubs train here, and kindergartens and schools use the ice. Eissport Weißwasser e.V. holds its Kids Day in the hall, and the club's Glasmacherpokal has moved public skating on the day it was played. In spring 2026 the Füchse went out of the quarter-final in the sixth game against the Kassel Huskies.
The arena also stages the Eismärchen, an ice fairy-tale show whose recent title was Der gestiefelte Kater, and the city has opened the hall's Traditionsraum, known as the VIP room, for its Rückkehrer- und Karrieretag. The arena has also sold surplus safety-glass panes from its former hockey boards.
