Town and ice hall with 1,750 m² of ice in Weiz, home of the Weiz Bulls, founded in 1992
Public skating at Eishalle Weiz: the next 7 days
Currently out of season The city's page says the Eishalle Weiz is open from 12 October 2026 ("Die Eishalle Weiz hat ab 12. Oktober 2026 geöffnet!") and prints the 2026/27 ticket prices. The hall's weekly hours are listed without separating public skating, so no sessions are listed here yet. Checked 7 October 2026. Official schedule update
The Weiz town and ice hall is 75 metres long, 43 metres wide and 11 metres high, with 1,750 square metres of ice. For the town's ice sports people, its opening fulfilled a long-held wish. A modern electric resurfacing machine keeps the ice in optimal condition for different sports.
The Weiz Bulls were founded in 1992 as the Eishockeyclub Weiz-Gleisdorf, a pure hobby team drawn about equally from Weiz and Gleisdorf. In 1999 the club joined the Styrian ice hockey federation and officially became EC Red Bulls Weiz.
After a short spell as EC Weiz Lieb Bau Bulls, the team played its first Oberliga season in 2006-07 and narrowly missed the playoffs. The present club, which includes the youth teams, was founded in 2007 as the Weiz Bulls, and in 2007-08 it won the Oberliga championship. It has also cooperated with the town's other hockey teams to push youth work.
