Opened in 2018; home to the Legion hockey club and the Yuzhnoe Siyanie skating club
The Yuzhny Ural ice arena in Yuzhnouralsk opened in 2018. The hockey club Legion was founded in the same year, from the moment the arena opened, and its first recruited age group was children born in 2008 and 2009. The club now has more than 90 hockey players.
The figure skating club Yuzhnoe Siyanie began recruiting children when the arena opened in 2018, and more than 70 skaters now train there. The arena also has a shooting zone with synthetic ice and hockey goals fitted with a goalkeeper simulator.
The season-closing cup of the UHL league for 2022-2023 was played at the arena, with six teams taking part. On 21 August 2022 a ceremony honoured teams for the 2021-2022 season, after good results in the Chelyabinsk region boys' hockey championships for players born in 2009 and 2010.
