Home of EV Zeltweg since 1976
The Aichfeldhalle has been the home of the local ice hockey club EV Zeltweg since it opened in 1976. Over the decades the club has celebrated many successful games and championships in all leagues up to the Bundesliga.
Figure skating joined a year later: the Eiskunstlaufclub Aichfeld-Zeltweg was founded in 1977 and has spun its pirouettes on the hall's ice ever since. In its founding year the club was entrusted with the Austrian championships and in 1978 with the Austrian junior championships. It belongs to the Austrian figure skating federation, the Styrian regional association and ASKÖ Steiermark.
Ice-making begins in summer, so clubs find ice for training camps from mid-September. In winter the hall also hosts Eisstocksport, with weekly training and the annual district championships.
