Znojmo's winter stadium opened in 1970, was fully roofed in 1977 and has a new video cube since autumn 2025
The winter stadium in Znojmo was built in 1970 near the town centre on Dvořákova street, and it was finished with a full roof only in 1977. It is meant for professional athletes, sports clubs and the public, with an ice surface of 58 by 30 metres and a capacity of 4,000 to 5,000.
The hall has two big stands, glazed short walls and a roof of prefabricated construction. Under the roof sit cabins for cameras, commentators and reporters, and rooms for the technicians who run the television cube.
In autumn 2025 the town replaced the old cube, from 2003, with a new one: an eight-sided prism hung over the centre of the ice, holding four large screens, four information panels and a ring. The stadium announced in August 2026 that skating was back after its modernisation, and it has offered public skating over Christmas.
