Two NHL sheets that hosted the Leafs' 2019 camp, the 2019 Para Hockey Cup and a 2015 curling Grand Slam
Paradise Double Ice Complex is the Town of Paradise's main recreation building, with two NHL-sized ice surfaces that stay in year round, plus a 4,000-square-foot fully accessible fitness centre. It also doubles as the front door to the Paradise Rotary Youth and Community Centre.
Both sheets are busy with local groups. The Avalon Sled Dogs, Easter Seals, the Tom Cats Women's Hockey League and the Paradise Men's Recreation League are all hosted here, and the Mount Pearl/Paradise Skating Club and the Conception Bay Regional Minor Hockey Association run programs in the building.
The complex has had bigger names on its ice. In September 2015 it hosted the GSOC Tour Challenge, the first Grand Slam event of that curling season for both the men's and women's World Curling Tour. In September 2019 the Toronto Maple Leafs opened their 2019-2020 training camp here, and that December the 2019 Para Hockey Cup brought teams from Canada, the United States, Russia and the Czech Republic to Paradise.
