Two NHL-size sheets, home to the Peoria Mustangs and the Peoria Rivermen
Owens Ice Center has two full-size NHL rinks, used for private rentals, classes and public open skate times. The Peoria Park District runs it, with a pro shop called The EDGE that is open daily and a cafe that opens seasonally, depending on rink activity.
Several teams and clubs play here: the Peoria Mustangs, a Junior A Tier III hockey team; the Peoria Rivermen of the Southern Professional Hockey League; Bradley University's club hockey team; the Peoria Youth Hockey Association, which offers pre-season conditioning and runs travel and house leagues; and the Heart of Illinois Skating Club.
Freestyle ice is set aside for figure skaters to practice or take private coaching, and developmental hockey is capped at 20 skaters a session.
