Home of the Junior A Richmond Sockeyes

Minoru Arenas is the twin-rink building in Richmond's Minoru Park. Both sheets are regulation 200 by 85 feet, with ice in from August to April and dry floors from April to July.

The two rinks have different jobs: one is used for general skates and hockey practices, the other for hockey games and tournaments, complete with spectator stands. That Stadium rink seats up to 1,800 and has upgraded, enclosed end-zone viewing that doubles as a hosting space for rink events. The Junior A Tier 2 Richmond Sockeyes of the Pacific International Junior Hockey League play here, and the Connaught Skating Club, Richmond Jets, Richmond Ravens, Richmond Lacrosse Association and Richmond/South Delta Ball Hockey all use the building.

The arena hosted the Women's Pacific Rim Championship in 1996. In November 2006 the UBC Thunderbirds hockey team moved in, using Minoru as one of its temporary home arenas while the UBC Winter Sports Centre was being built. Every Christmas one rink is decorated in a "Christmas Wonderland" theme, with skating time offered in exchange for a donation to the food bank.
