- IJsclub Siberia's free natural-ice rink in Park De Watertoren (beside the Johan Cruyff Court on the Marnedreef, Utrecht Overvecht) is not open: it opens when the ice is 7 cm thick after several nights of moderate to hard frost, and then entry is free from 10.00 to 22.00. The club's event page for the rink (dated 28 December) says that in September 2026 the municipality is removing the existing well and drainage next to the rink, with the grass restored afterwards, and that the ice masters keep the rink in shape by shifting snow and letting in water.
