## Visitor facts

### Skates & rentals

Winakwa's skate lending program says skates are free to borrow: skaters leave their shoes with staff, take skates, and get their shoes back on return; skates and helmets go first come, first served and must be returned by closing time.

### Skating with children

The centre's skate rules say helmets are optional; their use is encouraged but not enforced.

## Notices

- Winakwa Community Centre's public skate page says its outdoor rinks are closed for the season and that it looks forward to seeing skaters back on the ice next winter; no 2026/27 opening date is posted, and the centre says the rinks can close unexpectedly with the weather.
