What this place is
A hockey pro shop inside Mentor Ice Arena, founded in 2014.
Cleveland Hockey Company
The Cleveland Hockey Company has run the pro shop inside Mentor Ice Arena since 2014, and it is the counter Lake County players pass on the way to the ice. Sharpening is done on the spot, so a pair can be handed over before warm-ups and picked up again before the game.
Players who like a flatter feel can ask for a flat-bottom V instead of a standard hollow. New skates can be heat-molded at the same counter, and staff can replace worn steel or a loose rivet without sending the boot away.
Most of the floor is hockey equipment, with a wide choice of left and right sticks, and the shop handles custom jerseys and team orders for local clubs.
C.E. Orr Ice Arena in Euclid is the next indoor rink, about 19 km to the south-west, and Gilmour Academy’s rink in Gates Mills is a little further.
Not stated: hockey, goalie, figure, speed / long-track, recreational & rental.
