Big Boy Arena in Fraser has five rinks under one roof, and the arena calls itself the home of the B&R Sports pro shop, which has its own glass shop front on the concourse. It is part of B&R Sports, the Michigan hockey chain with stores inside several Macomb County rinks, so a player who skates at more than one arena can use whichever store is closest that day. Pure Hockey’s Sterling Heights store and DICK’S in Roseville are both a short drive away.
On a tournament weekend, drop skates off when you arrive rather than just before your game; B&R also warns that new or rusted skates can cost extra to sharpen.
