Ankara's municipal ice centre, rebuilt after 2020
BelPa Buz Pateni Tesisi is the ice-skating facility of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality in Bahçelievler. The municipality took it back from the Ministry of Youth and Sports in 2020 in poor condition and rebuilt it, replacing the ice sheet and the boards to international standards and adding a cafeteria, a library and an exhibition hall.
The renovated rink was first tested at the Junior Grand Prix Ankara, when it hosted the practice sessions of 127 skaters from 36 countries. The facility's project manager said skaters praised the ice system, which he described as the first of its kind in Turkey.
BelPa presents the centre as a place for every age group, with a modern library for quiet reading or study alongside the ice. It is open seven days a week, and during the Kurban Bayramı holiday of 2026 it stayed open on all but the first day.

Skates & rentals
Helmets, knee pads and elbow pads are lent by the facility for the length of the session and must be handed back complete; the facility strongly recommends using them.

Skaters register with the facility for public sessions, and the registration includes a digital consent text that every user, and the parent of a minor, must read and accept.

Skating with children
Carrying a child in your arms and pushing an unaccompanied child on the ice are not allowed.
