900 seats and 1,428 m² of ice, upgraded in 2014
The municipal rink in Brive has a 1,428 m² ice surface and room for 900 spectators. Major works in 2014 made it suitable for high-level hockey matches.
Brive's hockey club was born in 1972 as Brive Ice Skating, a multisport club covering hockey, figure skating and ice dance. As the Club des sports de glace de Brive it came close to the play-offs in 1987-88 and 1990-91, and in 1993 it became the Brive Hockey Club.
Two skating clubs also train here. The Brive Patinage Club starts children from age 3 with games on the ice. The Patinage Artistique Briviste, labelled Développement FFSG in 2022 with the Mixité and Sport Handicap badges, also runs sessions adapted for skaters with disabilities. The rink stages evenings such as Bachata on Ice, and the city runs discovery courses for children in the short school holidays.
