Castres's rink since 1993, renovated in 2024

The Patinoire de l'Archipel opened in October 1993 and is run by the Castres-Mazamet agglomeration. Its ice measures 56 by 26 metres, more than 1,500 square metres, with 850 seats in the stands.

The rink is open from September to May and counts about 70,000 entries a year. In 2024 it was deeply renovated for 3.8 million euros, with a new ice surface and recovery of the waste heat from the cooling plant.

The rink shares its building with a swimming pool. Castres Sports de glace runs figure skating and ice dance and staged a skating gala in 2025, while the Castres Hockey Club plays its home games here, with a hockey school for children from age 5 and youth, senior and recreational teams. The rink has also hosted a curling evening open to disabled and able-bodied players.
