The only ice rink in Berry, open since 1984
The Patinoire d'Issoudun was inaugurated on 16 September 1984 with a synthetic surface, and its new rink was first iced on 22 October 1995. It is the only ice rink in Berry, and one of the town's most emblematic sports facilities.
The last major works had been done 25 years before the latest renovation, and the ice cooling system could no longer be certified. The mayor, André Laignel, said the new, more ecological system would save about 30 % of energy. The rink had been closed for works and reopened on Saturday 25 January 2020, with the interior redone, better reception halls and reorganised changing rooms.
Le Patin de Glace offers figure-skating lessons at every level, and an ice hockey section also uses the rink.
