Niort's Venise-Verte rink, run by the agglomeration since 2018
The Niort Agglo rink is part of the Venise-Verte sports complex, a group of facilities serving the whole agglomeration, and passed to the Agglomération on 1 March 2018. It records about 80,000 entries a year, 12,000 of them from schools.
The 56 by 26 metre ice is approved for regional and national competitions, and the stands have 900 seats. A relaxation area has vending machines for snacks and soft drinks, and a table football.
Themed evenings with a disco atmosphere and ice shows are held regularly. The rink's news items also include curling discovery Sundays and a look at the sports practised on the ice with the NiortGlace club, so the building is used for more than public sessions.
