The ice palace of an Omsk Olympic reserve school founded in 1983
The Aleksandr Kozhevnikov ice palace belongs to the Omsk city sports school that carries the same name. The school was founded in 1983, and from 1 January 1991 it has held the status of a specialised children and youth school of the Olympic reserve.
The palace is entered in the All-Russian register of sports facilities by an order of the Ministry of Sport of 27 May 2011. The school runs three departments: sports aerobics, opened in September 2003, ice hockey, opened in September 2009, and curling, opened on 1 September 2014.
Skating for visitors is announced on a weekly ice calendar, and the school keeps a second covered rink named after Leonid Kiselyov. The school works with the Siberian State University of Physical Culture and Sport, whose students do their practice there.
