Dynax Numanohata Ice Arena, one of Tomakomai's main hockey rinks since 2000
Dynax Numanohata Ice Arena, formally the Tomakomai City Numanohata Skating Center, was completed on 15 March 2000. The city describes it as one of the main rinks in Tomakomai, a town that takes its ice hockey seriously, and it is used mainly for hockey practice.
The rink measures 60 by 28 metres, with 236 wooden-bench seats and standing room for 75 more. In November 2014 it hosted the Broomball World Championships. The Dynax company took the naming rights in April 2018, and the contract has since been renewed.
Besides ordinary public skating, the Tomakomai Sport Association opens casual hockey sessions here, a hockey version of public skating for enthusiasts. Public sessions forbid jumping, spinning and skating against the flow. Ordinary skating runs from 10:00 to 16:15, and the rink closes on the first Thursday of every month and from 31 December to 2 January.
