Cornwall's three-pad Benson Centre, built in 2011

The Benson Centre in Cornwall was built in 2011. On Friday, April 29, a special evening was held there to honour the sponsors, city employees and fundraising committee who helped make the three-pad arena a reality. Benson Auto Parts, the company of Marty Benson, purchased the naming right to the centre, and the committee chairman praised City Councillor Glen Grant for pushing the committee to assure the centre would have three pads.

The building measures 193,500 square feet and features three NHL sized ice rinks, a field house with a walking track, a tennis court and a community room. The three rinks share 15 dressing rooms, five apiece. The main arena seats 500 spectators and the other two seat 250 each.

The field house has indoor turf measuring 120' x 220', and the turf can be divided into 3 smaller fields.
