Champlain Township’s year-round arena in Vankleek Hill, home of the Junior C Cougars, with a renovated lobby.
The Vankleek Hill Arena on Mill Street is the Township of Champlain’s year-round community facility. Its ice surface measures 193 by 85 feet and is in from September to April, with six dressing rooms with washrooms and showers and seating for more than 250 spectators. Ice time goes to hockey, broomball, skating lessons, public skating and pick-up hockey.
The arena is home ice for the Vankleek Hill Cougars of the National Capital Junior Hockey League, who play Junior C hockey, and for the Eastern Prescott Russell Minor Hockey Association. The renovated lobby has modern seating, the canteen and large windows looking over the ice, and the building also has a community hall with a bar, audio-visual equipment and a commercial kitchen for events, receptions and trade shows.
