What this place is
The pro shop inside Stouffville Arena on Ninth Line, one of three York Region shops run by Cutting Edge Pro Shops.
Cutting Edge Pro Shop at Stouffville Arena
Stouffville Arena on Ninth Line is one of two Whitchurch-Stouffville rinks where Cutting Edge Pro Shops keeps a counter, and of the company’s three shops this one opens the fewest times a week.
It works well as a drop-off point for families already at the rink for a game or a lesson. Hockey and goalie skates can be done by any technician, and blades that need a new profile are sent over to the company’s Clippers shop, which has the machine.
Stouffville Clippers Sports Complex is about a kilometre away, so if this counter is closed when you arrive, the company’s other Stouffville shop is a short drive. Mount Joy Community Centre in Markham is the next indoor rink south, about 9 km away.
Sharpens: hockey, goalie, figure, profiling / contouring. Not stated: speed / long-track, recreational & rental.
Blades they sharpen
Hockey, goalie and figure skates. Recreational figure skates can go to any technician; competitive figure skates go to the master sharpener.
