Arborg's NHL-size rink, home of the Ice Dawgs, Manitoba Junior B champions in 2011 and 2012
The Arborg & District Arena is the skating arena of the Arborg Recreation Complex at the north end of Ingolfs Street, which also holds a curling rink, a community hall and a ball park. Its NHL-size artificial ice is lined with rink-side seating for 800, and there is a large heated indoor viewing area and six large dressing rooms with showers.
Arborg Minor Hockey, the Arborg Skating Club and adult hockey teams use the ice, along with the Arborg Ice Dawgs. The Junior B club was founded in 2006, won Manitoba provincial championships in 2010–11 and 2011–12, and in 2018 was one of five teams that left the Keystone league to form the Capital Region Junior Hockey League. Through KidSport, the recreation commission lends hockey equipment to players aged 7 to 10.
