Home ice of the Charleswood Hawks, the most successful team in Manitoba Major Junior Hockey League history.
The arena is named for Eric Coy, a discus thrower and shot putter who represented Canada at the 1948 Summer Olympics. Coy won the discus gold medal at the 1938 Empire Games and, after he retired from competition, coached track and field, ice hockey and wrestling.
The building has one 85-by-200-foot ice surface, four change rooms and a capacity of 1,400. It is home to the Charleswood Hawks, founded in 1970 as a charter member of the Manitoba Major Junior Hockey League and the most successful team in the league's history, with 16 Jack McKenzie Trophies and 15 Art Moug Trophies.
Curling has used the ice as well: the 2017 Manitoba Scotties Tournament of Hearts was held at Eric Coy Arena from January 25 to 29, and the 2020 Viterra Championship from February 5 to 9.
