Edson's twin arenas, mid-way through the YCE Multiplex rebuild

The Edson & District Leisure Centre houses twin arenas alongside an indoor swimming pool, a hospitality room and a concession run by Canedia Ltd. LiveBarn now streams everything that happens on the Centennial Arena ice.

The centre is being renovated and expanded into the YCE Multiplex, a joint initiative of the Town of Edson and Yellowhead County, with construction scheduled from spring 2025 to winter 2027. Phase 2 began on July 25 with a new ice arena, a gymnasium and new aquatics space, and crews have been preparing the new rink's perimeter slab and its mezzanine level. The intent is to keep the pool and arena running throughout construction.

The final phase will renovate the current Centennial Arena and convert the Memorial Arena into a new curling facility, with the whole project expected to be finished by late 2027.
