Opened in 2014 inside the Clareview Community Recreation Centre
Clareview Arena is the ice half of the Clareview Community Recreation Centre in northeast Edmonton, which the City of Edmonton opened to the public in 2014 and marked with a 10th anniversary in November 2024. The centre sits in the Clareview District Park Site alongside sports fields and park spaces.
The arena has two sheets: Arena A is an Olympic-sized surface of 210 by 100 feet, and the second is NHL-sized. Safety netting protects the viewing area, there is a figure skating room with showers, and the building has summer ice capabilities. The same roof also covers an eight-lane, 25-metre pool, an indoor track, a fitness centre and the integrated Clareview Library.
The City runs public skating and shinny hockey on the ice. Christine Belter, supervisor of operations and site coordination at Clareview, said in November 2024 that the facility had become popular with residents of northeast Edmonton for its features and programming.
