The former OmniPlex, home of the Drayton Valley Thunder

The Team Auctions Centre, the former OmniPlex, is Drayton Valley's recreation centre, with three multi-purpose facilities under one roof. Team Auctions, a part of Drayton Valley since 1966, took the naming rights to the building, and Nelson Bros Oilfield Services named its main ice rink.

Its three ice surfaces, the Nelson Bros. Arena, the Pembina Pipeline Arena and a curling rink, share the building with a lounge, a main hall lobby, a meeting room, a fitness centre and a conference centre. The centre is home to the Drayton Valley Thunder of the Alberta Junior Hockey League, and both arenas stream on LiveBarn.

A gift from a local anonymous donor is paying for upgrades, starting with new 8-foot safety glass around the Nelson Bros. Arena and a four-panel digital video board. Local businesses, among them Drayton Valley Toyota, McDonald's, Right Way Valves & Energy and Tim Hortons, sponsor the weekly public skate, and out of season the concrete pads take trade shows, conferences and agricultural shows.
