Champion Rink at Chaoyang Joy City is part of the Champion chain, China's first chain of skating rinks, known for top-grade ice-making equipment. The rink is on the seventh floor of Joy City, a complex at the north-east corner of the Chaoyang North Road and Qingnian Road junction that opened on 28 May 2010.
Its ice is a standard 1,800 square metres, built to Olympic standards, and large for an indoor rink inside a commercial building. Natural light reaches the ice from both sides, and Beijing Daily's guide to the city's indoor rinks calls the setting bright, with clean and flat ice. The Beijing municipal government's English portal lists the rink among the city's top indoor rinks, and the rink posts its weekly ice-time sheet on its WeChat account.
