A 30 by 60 metre rink kept at minus ten degrees, built as a lottery operator's social project
Liodohrai, the universal training centre for winter sports in Bohuslav, opened its doors on 6 November 2014, after the first stone was laid in spring 2013. The company M.S.L., Ukraine's largest operator of state lotteries, built it as a fully public social project at a cost of about 3 million dollars.
The ice sheet lies on a crushed-stone base, and the ventilation holds the ice at minus ten degrees Celsius. The arena has a stand for 150 spectators, four separate changing rooms and a cafeteria, and a modern power plant heats the whole complex. Hockey and figure skating schools and a choreography hall are based in the centre.
Public skating is organised through registration on the website for the week's sessions, and children under 12 are allowed on the ice only with adults who are fully responsible for them.
