An open-air rink on the site of a famous hockey stadium

Bruslení za Lužánkami is an artificial outdoor rink in Brno that stands where a famous winter stadium once stood. The ice surface has room for up to 220 people at a time.

Beside the ice, a heated building holds changing rooms with lockers, toilets and a snack bar. The rink's own pages describe the ice surface as lying in the place of the famous hockey stadium, so a skater today is on ground with a long sporting past.

The rink has widened its offer in recent seasons. Last season it added evening skating on Fridays and Saturdays from 20:30 to 22:00, held an Advent on Ice afternoon on 14 December 2025 from 15:00 to 17:00, and stayed open until 1 March 2026. The site now shows the season as ended.

Public skating at Bruslení za Lužánkami costs 140 Kč for the basic ticket (112 Kč with the chip watch), 70 Kč for children aged 6 to 14, 85 Kč for seniors from 65 and 370 Kč for a family of two adults and up to three children; children up to 5 skate free and a companion without skates pays 50 Kč.

Skates & rentals

Skates can be rented at the rink for 140 Kč per time block with a 1000 Kč deposit, and skating trainers for small beginners are free to borrow.
