Opened in 2021 at DB Plaza in Discovery Bay: an international-size ice sheet on Lantau Island
DB Ice Rink opened in 2021 in Discovery Bay on Lantau Island, and Hong Kong Resort Company Limited opened it. Wikipedia's list of Hong Kong rinks gives the sheet as 27 metres by 59 metres, and the rink describes itself as the international-sized ice rink in Hong Kong, a short distance from DB Plaza and DB Pier.
The rink uses a zero-emission electric Zamboni and describes itself as part of Hong Kong's first eco-friendly community, with non-CFC refrigerants and electric rather than fuel-powered equipment.
In November 2021 it staged the first Monchhichi-themed ice rink in Hong Kong for the festive season, and in 2023 it announced it would host Skate Asia, billed as the largest recreational skating competition in the world.
