A mass-sport centre named after the hockey legend Sergei Makarov, in Orekhovo-Borisovo

Vershina is the Sergei Makarov Centre for the Development of Children's and Mass Sport, a multifunctional sports complex in the Orekhovo-Borisovo district of Moscow, a short walk from the Orekhovo and Domodedovskaya metro stations. The complex is surrounded by a picturesque natural landscape.

Its ice rink has the Canadian size of 26 by 56 metres, with five changing rooms and four dryers for kit. Besides the ice the complex has a cardio area, a functional training hall, a throwing zone with synthetic ice and an area for martial arts.

Mass skating is offered to everyone: the centre says it does not matter how well you stand on skates, because the basic skills can be learned right on the ice, and sessions run with music.
