Two NHL-size rinks inside a 160,000-square-foot complex

Body Zone Sports and Wellness Complex in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, keeps two NHL-size ice rinks inside a 160,000-square-foot building that also holds a fitness center, a physical therapy practice and a suspended running track. The rinks have multiple locker rooms, scoreboards and room for spectators.

The Reading Royals Youth Hockey Association provides the youth hockey programs here, for children learning the game and for players building on their skills, and Body Zone runs multiple adult leagues on the two rinks, among them a 35-and-over league. Figure skating has its own club in the building, the Body Zone Figure Skating Club, whose members skate alongside Learn to Skate students in the annual Happy Holidays Ice Skating Show on Rink 1.

That show puts skaters of every level on the ice, from the youngest novice Learn to Skate members to the experienced skaters of the club.
