Get to know this rink.
Kinsmen Arena is the ice half of the Kinsmen Sportsplex, a City multi-use building that also holds Moose Jaw's only indoor pool. It is one of four ice surfaces in Moose Jaw and the one where the City runs its supervised indoor skating program.
Through the winter the ice is in constant use, with minor hockey games and the speed skating and figure skating clubs filling the open slots. Public skating is popular too, and on many nights the ice is full of skaters. When the ice comes out a sport court goes in for the Moose Jaw Mustangs box lacrosse program, whose history is on display just outside the rink.
The building also houses the City's Skate Vault, where families donate outgrown skates, helmets and sticks for others to use, and a crokicurl rink was added along its south side.
