Thailand's national figure and short track skaters train on this international-standard sheet
IWIS, the International Training Center on the fifth floor of Imperial World Samrong, describes itself as the international-standard ice rink in Thailand and is certified as one of the International Skating Union's Centers of Excellence. Its own account is that Thailand's national figure skaters and short track speed skaters train on the ice.
Ice hockey runs through the same building. The rink's Ice Breaker team is coached by a three-time Asian Winter Games competitor who played the Challenge Cup of Asia eight times, and by a former national-team player with seven years in the squad, including Olympic qualification and World Championships.
The rink's event list names a figure skating training camp in Bangkok (7 to 11 May 2024), an international seminar for coaches and skaters (8 to 11 May) and an ice dance seminar for junior and novice skaters (25 to 31 May).
