Bathurst's 1996 arena, the largest in north-eastern New Brunswick, named for businessman K.C. Irving
The K.C. Irving Regional Centre opened in September 1996 and cost $21 million. It is the largest arena in north-eastern New Brunswick and is named in honour of the businessman K.C. Irving. The City of Bathurst runs the centre.
The building has two ice rinks. The main one, the Eddy Rink, has 3,162 seats for a hockey capacity of 3,524, with 24 private boxes around the ice. The smaller Richelieu rink is the home of the Bathurst High School Phantoms boys' and girls' hockey teams and also hosts minor hockey and figure skating.
The QMJHL's Acadie–Bathurst Titan played at the arena from 1998 to 2025, and the Chaleur Lightning of the Maritime Junior Hockey League now call it home. The city's Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department has its offices in the building.
