Home ice of the SPHL's Birmingham Bulls

The Pelham Civic Complex & Ice Arena holds two NHL-sized sheets of ice that host more than 27,000 skaters each year, from beginners to seasoned professionals. The main arena seats more than 3,000 and has 30,000 square feet of floor space, which lets it convert for events off the ice; it has hosted everything from a circus to trade shows and concerts.

The professional tenant is the Birmingham Bulls, the SPHL team based in Pelham that began play in the 2017–18 season. The Birmingham Figure Skating Club and Pelham Hockey are also based here, alongside the Pelham Skate School and the Pelham Youth Hockey League, with dedicated ice time set aside for recreational skaters, figure skaters and hockey players.

Expect a cold building: the rinkside temperature is held at 55 degrees year-round.

Skates & rentals

Skate rental is $4 and is charged separately from the $11 public-skate admission; you may bring your own skates instead. Group bookings bundle rental into a per-person rate instead of charging it separately.

Booking & check-in

Public skate sessions are first-come, first-served; the rink recommends registering online in advance but says coupon and pass holders must still get their admission on-site. Days and times vary and are subject to change, so the rink advises checking the schedule again shortly before heading over.

Skating with children

Blue Seal skate assistants for small children cost $10 each. No more than two skaters may hold hands together on the ice, and skaters may not carry children or items like cameras and handbags while skating. Non-skating members of your party are admitted free.

Accessibility

Service animals are welcome at the arena even though pets are otherwise prohibited. The facility's clear-bag policy makes an exception for guests carrying necessary medical items, which are allowed after inspection at designated areas.
