Crossfield's one-sheet arena, named for four-time world champion bronc rider Pete Knight.
The Pete Knight Memorial Arena is named for Charles Peter Knight, the Crossfield bronc rider acclaimed as the King of the Cowboys of the 1930s. Knight's family moved to Crossfield to farm in 1914, and the Rodeo Association of America named him World Champion Bronc Rider for 1932, 1933, 1935 and 1936. He was killed at the Hayward Rodeo in California on May 23, 1937, and the town also remembers him with an annual Pete Knight Days Rodeo.
The arena has one sheet of indoor ice, in from late September to March, and outside the ice season its floor and meeting space are rented out. It is home to the Crossfield Skating Club, the Crossfield Ice Hawks and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Association, and games are streamed through LiveBarn.
For the 2026-27 season the town runs a Sunday evening public skate, parent-and-tot and adult skates on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and a Wednesday afternoon shinny.
