Home ice of the Casper Oilers and the Casper Figure Skating Club
Casper Ice Arena stands adjacent to the Casper Recreation Center and the Casper Family Aquatics Center. Its programs cover public skating, skating classes through the Casper Skating School, figure skating, hockey, curling and special events.
The arena is the hub for hundreds of youth hockey players from across Central Wyoming, with Stick and Puck sessions, Learn-to-Play Hockey, Mile High Mites and an All-Summer Hockey Camp on the calendar. The Casper Amateur Hockey Club, known as the Casper Oilers, anchors amateur and youth hockey in the city, and adult hockey runs for players of all skill levels. Figure skating has an equally long tenure here: the Casper Figure Skating Club has served Casper and its children for more than 30 years and is a member club of U.S. Figure Skating, with dedicated ice sessions for skaters taking one-on-one or duo lessons. The Casper Skating School teaches Learn to Skate USA-inspired classes.
Junior hockey came and went. The Casper Coyotes, a Junior A team in the Western States Hockey League, played out of the arena; they were renamed the Casper Bobcats for the 2018-19 season and folded before 2019-20.
