Home ice for Auburn University club hockey

Columbus Ice Rink was designed by 2WR Architects in partnership with the Columbus Consolidated Government, the Columbus Adult Hockey Association, the Hurricanes Hockey Program and the Columbus Cottonmouths. It stands next to the Columbus Civic Center, with an entrance and curved canopies that give the building an identity of its own.

Inside are seating for 450 spectators, locker rooms for leagues and professionals, a fully equipped pro shop, concession areas, and a party space with a VIP room. The Columbus Hockey Association runs its programs here, with teams from age 3 through grade school, middle school, high school and adult leagues. Auburn University's club hockey teams use the rink as their home ice, and when it is unavailable the Civic Center next door hosts some of their games.

The Chattahoochee Valley Warriors and The Next One Athletics are among the other groups listed on the rink's programming page. The building hosts tournaments, open skating sessions and special programs, and figure skaters register for classes through Columbus Figure Skating.
