The Eden Project's rink is billed as Cornwall's most loved, and in winter 2026-27 it is having a glow-up: an undercover rink bathed in a mesmerising aura of Northern Lights colour. Experienced skaters can join Ice Patch sessions to practise spins, jumps and skills, members and patrons get 10% off general sessions, and the Ice Rink Café serves hot food during local school holidays.
The Eden Project took two and a half years to construct and opened to the public on 17 March 2001. At the bottom of its pit are two covered biomes, and it received 1,010,095 visitors in 2019. In December 2020 it was closed after heavy rain caused several landslips at the site.
Kids' penguin aids have a height limit of 120cm, and snowman aids are for kids over 120cm and for those with accessible needs.
