Home of the five-time Clark Cup champion Dubuque Fighting Saints, open since September 2010
ImOn Arena opened as the Mystique Community Ice Center on September 18, 2010, when the finished building was opened for public inspection. A Vision Iowa Board grant opened the way to build a 66,000-square-foot, 3,200-seat ice center on Chaplain Schmitt Island, and the Mystique Casino, which donated to the fund drive, gave the building its first name.
The city-owned arena was completed with a mix of public and private money. It has a standard NHL-sized surface and a hockey-specific seating bowl with 12 luxury suites. The Dubuque Fighting Saints of the USHL, five-time Clark Cup champions, play here, along with Dubuque Youth Hockey, the University of Dubuque's men's and women's teams and the Wisconsin-Platteville ACHA team. The building's record crowd, 3,480 fans, came for game 4 of the 2011 Clark Cup final.
The nonprofit that managed the building announced in June 2021 that it would give up its lease, and the city became interim manager on September 5. The neighboring Q Casino took over management in 2022, and the building was rebranded ImOn Arena in September 2023. Foundation repairs were made in 2022.
