The Town of Redwater's arena, curling club and cultural centre, beside the town's giant oil derrick.
Pembina Place stands at 4944 53 Street in Redwater, beside the town's oil derrick, which Wikipedia lists as the world's largest. The Town's multiplex holds an indoor ice arena and dressing rooms, a curling club, a concession, a golf club with a pro shop and a fitness centre.
The regulation-size arena runs on a newly installed ice plant and has six dressing rooms. In winter it hosts minor hockey teams and adult hockey leagues, the junior Rebels play NJHL home games there, and the Town schedules public skating and shinny. In summer the arena becomes a fieldhouse for sports programs. Curlers take their own sheet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
The Cultural Centre adds a 480-seat banquet hall with a full-service commercial kitchen, a dance floor and a large stage, so the building also hosts meetings, banquets, weddings, birthday parties and special events.
