Opened in 2012 as a geodesic dome built around an Olympic-size ice rink of about 1,800 m² on Eilat's lagoon
This building opened in 2012 on the edge of the lagoon in Eilat and is one of few in the world with an Olympic skating rink at its centre. It was built as a geodesic dome covering about 40,000 square metres, with two floors of shops and a basement level.
The rink covers about 1,800 square metres and stages figure skating shows every evening for visitors. The building also hosts sporting events, among them the Eilat Night Race, the Judo Festival of the Israeli Judo Association, national and international figure skating competitions and the Ice Cup.
In 2025 a planning scheme for a hotel of about 350 rooms above the building, with more shops and attractions, was approved for public deposit.
