Hong Kong's first standard-size rink

Mega Ice opened with MegaBox in Kowloon Bay in 2007, when Kerry Properties built it as the first standard-size ice rink in Hong Kong. Wikipedia's article on the centre gives the ice as 26 metres by 57 metres, and the rink's own page calls it Hong Kong's largest sea-view rink and the first to meet international standards.

MegaBox opened on 1 June 2007, and the rink sits on its 10th floor. Mega Ice runs Hockey 5's, which it describes as the largest international five-a-side ice hockey event in Asia.

In September 2026 the rink added weekday Stick & Puck free-practice sessions, which its calendar shows on a third of the ice.

The rink says it has long worked to bring ice sports and competitions to the public and runs skating and ice hockey courses. It describes the rink as one of Hong Kong's most distinctive multi-purpose venues, suited to shows, concerts, exhibitions, company events and birthday parties, and says it has hosted international and regional competitions.
