A 20 by 40 metre training rink in Khimki with open sports-skating sessions and hockey hours
Iceberg is a covered ice arena in the Levoberezhny district of Khimki, just outside the Moscow ring road. The ice sheet measures 20 by 40 metres, and the arena has five changing rooms, a cafe overlooking the ice and a skate-sharpening centre.
The arena says its sports skating is not mass skating but training sessions, and it posts a weekly list of them. Sessions marked as a hockey hour require full protective hockey kit. Figure skating and hockey schools are residents of the arena, and a hockey training centre opened beside it in September 2017.
The arena stands at the 78th kilometre of the Moscow ring road, outer side, and a reception desk answers by telephone. The list for 7 to 11 October puts daytime hockey hours and open sports-skating sessions on Wednesday to Friday, with one evening hockey hour on Saturday and another on Sunday.
